Yea, I wasn’t impressed by Tuesday night’s game, but man, Monday night’s was awesome!
I’m really liking Mikie Mahtook. He seems down to earth, a great player and he’s from Lafayette! What about you? Who’s your favorite player on this years Tiger baseball team?
Another conversation I was having with some friends last night as we were watching the game is what uniforms were better? The purple or gold. I really liked the gold ones, but if their uniform choice has anything to do with the way they play… they need to stick to the purple ones!! Which is your favorite?
Anyone want to throw out some guesses on tonight’s final score??
I was flipping through the channels today and ended up watching Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez entire press conference. Did you catch it? Thoughts?
If not, here’s the low down… A-Rod admitted to using steroids during the 2001-03 seasons. He said a cousin introduced him to “Boli” which could be purchased in the Dominican Republic and brought to the United States. A-Rod said he understood it would give him a dramatic energy boost and was otherwise harmless.
He said he injected the substance twice a month for three seasons. A-Rod went on to say… he was young and didn’t realize what he was injecting in his body. Remember he started playing professionally when he was only 18.
Do you think different of A-Rod? Or do you think he was just young and stupid?
The big game is only a few days away! For all of you non football fans (like my mom) I’m talking about the Super bowl XLIII. It’s Sunday in Tampa, Florida!
So you do you think will win? Pittsburgh Steelers or Arizona Cardinals?
While we’re talking about it…. do you watch the Super bowl for the halftime entertainment, the commercials or the actual game?
While on vacation I’ve had time to watch some of the Olympics. I’m addicted! I never thought I would like swimming so much… but with Michael Phelps breaking records left and right! I love it! Go Team U.S.A.
This morning I had the honor of interviewing Kendrick Farris. The Byrd High School graduate is leaving for Beijing tomorrow morning to represent USA in the 2008 Olympics. He’s competing in the weightlifting division. Kendrick is truly a remarkable person. Tune in to KTBS First News Saturday to see the entire interview.
We grabbed a quick picture with him before he left the station. Pictured here are Elizabeth Bolt (morning show producer), Kendrick Farris and me. Hope to see ya in the morning.
How ’bout dem TIGERS!! Did any of you watch the LSU Tigers take on UC Irvine last night? Whata game! There were back- to- back- to- back home runs hit in the first inning. The final score was 21-7. Next stop for the Tigers…. Omaha, Nebraska. Good Luck guys!
I think this deserves a chant: G-E-A-U-X– Go, Tigers, Go! G-E-A-U-X– Go, Tigers, Go!
BTW, my Ragin Cajuns made it to the College World Series in 2000… just in case you were wondering!
LSU’s Ryan Perrilloux got the boot. Finally! He apparently failed a drug test which was the final straw for Coach Les Miles. Since he got to LSU Perrilloux has had legal and disciplinary problems including counterfeiting charges, trying to use a false ID at a casino… the list goes on and on. He missed team meetings and classes. To me it seems like he was more trouble than he was worth. Who does he think he is! How does one of the most sought-after quarterback prospects in the country end up like this? Where do you think he’ll end up?
If you’re a big football fan you’re probably looking forward to this weekends NFL draft. Will you be glued to ESPN Saturday? What are your predictions? Who will go where? Where will LSU’s Glenn Dorsey go? Jacob Hester?
I’m not much of a football fan but I’m cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. I must say I like to go to football games for the atmosphere — being a former college cheerleader– I’m more interested in watching the cheerleaders do stunts and tumble on the sidelines!!
