I’ll never forget the first time I visited Lafayette, LA I fell in love with it! I loved the culture and the people were so kind, the food was the best I had ever tasted, and I can’t forget to mention the nightlife was incredible! I immediately knew that’s where I wanted to spend the next four years of my life.
So, I packed up my bags and headed out!
I met my some of my best friends at UL Lafayette, cheered on the Cajuns from the sidelines and joined a sorority! I didn’t miss out on anything! I enjoyed ever minute of my time in Cajun Country! I could go on and on about my college days!
But I want to know… How you decided which college you were going to attend? Was it the nightlife? Academics? Scholarships? extracurricular activities or friends?
By the way the Princeton Review just released its list of top party schools (sorry all you LSU fans… you didn’t make the list).
Penn State was the #1 party school… and coming in at #19 was Tulane University!
Any big plans today? We’re heading to church and then having an Easter egg hunt at my house for my 3 year old nephew. It looks like our festivities may be moved inside because of rain!
While we’re talking Easter… what’s your favorite Easter candy? Chocolate? Peeps? What?
I just realized today is the one year anniversary of chrissicoile.com
We began our adventure last year with the very first post of “Favorite Restaurants”. Looking back… the most popular post of the year seemed to be “Exciting News.”
What were your favorite posts?
It’s been a great year! I’m looking forward to many more with my fellow bloggers!! Any ideas for new topics/things we should start doing this year??
As always I need your help again! Valentine’s Day is less than 24 hours away and I have yet to get my significant other anything! Shhhh, don’t tell! Any suggestions?
While we’re on the subject…. what are your plans for V-day? Will you cook at home or go out to eat?
Also, I’m curious… with the faltering economy are you spending less on your loved one this V-day?
So, I spent the day Friday driving around Shreveport and Bossier looking for the perfect Christmas tree. However, to my disappointment… I never found one, so I had to settle.
All four places I stopped by said they sold all the good trees the week after Thanksgiving.
It got me thinking…. am I late putting up my tree or is everyone else just doing it really early. Whatcha think? When do you put up your tree? Do you go with a real or artificial one? What makes a perfect Christmas tree? Lesson learned this year…. next Christmas I’ll be shopping for my tree the day before Thanksgiving!
Anyone have any exciting plans for the Thanksgiving holidays? Last night in our viewer web poll question we asked do you plan on traveling for the Thanksgiving Holiday… 79% said no! So whatcha going to do?
Christmas… it’s the most wonderful time of the year. If you’re looking for something to do tonight and feel like getting in the Christmas spirit… head on down to the Louisiana Boardwalk. Marcy and I will be emceeing the 4th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony beginning at 6:00pm. The mayors of Shreveport and Bossier will pull the handle and turn on the 40 foot tree adorned with more than 5,000 lights. Santa will also make an appearance!
